GWE has been employed by Equinix as Principal Contractor on a live data centre. The PC role is a full CDM possession to manage all contractors entering and working around the ground floor fuel stores and plant gantries.

The GWE main works entail the installation of isolation valves into the existing CHW header contained within the chiller rooms. There has also been a new 250mm CHW flow and return ring main circuit installed around the perimeter of the building linking both sides of the chiller rooms. It is a complicated system and has encountered several problems with the existing system, which have been managed carefully by GWE, ensuring the data centre is not affected during the works.
